Cloud Assets Repository & Statistics
The Assets Statistics & Repository view is active always and on all Cloudivize views.
All the time you see at the right-bottom of the Canvas a panel with the total assets at your current view
Opening (or maximizing) this view will open a table with statistics on your current view, you may call it the Cloud Assets Repository.
The default view is showing the asset types, count of all assets from the specific type, and summarize the cost of all these assets
At this table you have the following menu:
Switch Mode: you can select different aggregation mode for your assets. See later the supported modes
Filter the table by searching by type name
Export to CSV where you can export the current table to CSV and open it at any external tool like Excel
Hide Type: you can select a row (aggregated type) and hide it from your canvas. This is a helper action since you can do the same from the Canvas
Statistics Table Modes
The currently supported modes:
The Default mode: showing the assets aggregated by types. Each type group has a count (counting the assets from that specific type), and Cost (sum-up of the costs of all assets from that specific type)
Group by Region: showing all assets aggregated by two levels. First by type, then by Region. the Count and Cost columns are behaving the same as the Default mode
Group by State: showing all assets aggregated by two levels. First by type, then by asset state. the Count and Cost columns are behaving the same as the Default mode. Please notice that each asset type has different State codes, even the share the same color coding
Group by Insight State: showing all assets aggregated by two levels. First by type, then by Smart Insights heat state. the Count and Cost columns are behaving the same as the Default mode
Sample of the different table modes
This view can't be closed. when closed it will be minimized and showing the total assets count at the current view as explained above.
For emphasis, when changing Canvas view (e.g. Drill-In or opening Stored View) the table will adopt according and will show the current visible view statistics
The table columns are sortable, but since there are table modes with grouped lines, the sort behavior adopted to that grouping.
When there is a grouped lines (asset type with multiple lines) then the grouping will be inside the group before being between groups (types)
E.g. at the Group by State table mode, if there is a type with multiple states, and you sort the Count column, then first we sort the States inside the group, then we sort the table on the Max/Min Count within the each group.
