Cloudivize Solution gives you the ability to operate your assets when seeing their deployment context and their relationships.
Each asset comes with the overlay
attached to it. By clicking this overlay, the Operation Rose will open on top.
1. Asset Information
It will open the asset attributes window, where you can view the characteristics of the asset and modify the editable ones (marked with a pen at the right side)
The Operation Rose consists of two circles:
This includes the built-in fixed commands and is similar for all asset types. It includes:
In order to simplify the view on asset properties, Cloudivize hides the empty value attributes by default; if you would like to view properties, check the option “Show empty properties” at the bottom of the window
For non-primitive values (e.g. lists and nested objects), the property value will be collapsed by default. You will need to click the Plus sign (+) for expanding it.
2. Open AWS Console
This generates an AWS Management Console URL, so you can navigate directly to the asset page at the AWS Console.
3. Hide Type
This will allow you to hide all assets of the same type from your Canvas.
See (5) Show Hidden Content, to learn how to make types visible again
4. Change Metadata
This allows you to change the type display name. The change will be reflected at next time you open Asset Information, it will reflect your changes.
This applies to all assets of the selected type.
5. Show Hidden Content
This option enabled only on group assets. If you hide an asset type from the given group, you can show it back by this command.
Enables you to reload/refresh the selected asset group
Mostly, you will not need to manually refresh and you will get the Refresh Indication when change happen at background.
This circle is different between asset types. It shows the available Actions and Operations of the specific type.
E.g. On Volume asset it will show: “Enable I/O”, “Create Snapshot” and “Delete”. While on Instance, it will show: “Start”, “Stop”, “Reboot”, “Terminate”, etc.
You will learn about the Action from its tooltip when hovering on the relevant icon.
Each action will start with confirmation message, to make sure you intentionally want to execute the action. Please read carefully before acting to make sure you are doing what you are intended to do.
Some actions could require additional inputs, at such cases; an input floating window will open with the needed inputs.
When there is an AWS error at the action, or an AWS message, a red floating message will appear on the upper left side of the Canvas. Those errors can be stacked there until you dismiss them by clicking the Close button.
The error message contains two sections: the error message and the cause of that message, to give you the cause of the error in full details.
You can choose to report this error to Cloudivize by clicking the Report button which will open for you a free text box to fill in your message to Cloudivize Support team.
